Round 9: Horensbergdam Circuit
"I don't like this track at all," Reynard said. "I got a bad start after bogging on the line. I then hit a crashedout rider in the first lap and went
down, then got going and was able to
find some better lines. I was really
happy with my times from the last
few laps."

second turn. This year has been
tough for me. I know KTM have
worked hard to get some better
results; it's been a learning experience for us with the new bikes."
Reynard had a disappointing race,
opening the moto midpack before
crashing and being lapped by Pichon.
The American then pushed a little harder and finally made a charge through
the field to land in eighth place.

Four-time champ Smets dominated the proceedings. The tall, blonde
Belgian made a lightning start and
took off, never to be challenged
again. While the crown is long lost,

said. "It took me many years to win a
Belgian Grand Prix, and the feeling of
winning at home is really satisfying. I

stone from Smets' back wheel soon
change the strategy of the KTM rider.
"I wanted to attack Joel," Garcia
said. "Then, after a couple of laps, I
got a stone in my hand, and it hurt
really bad. I slowed, and he got
away."
Everts had been in a poor position
early, stuck behind Andrea Bartolini
and Marnicq Bervoets for several laps.
