LAWRENCEBURG, IN, JULY 5
On a night that saw many riders missing due
to the holiday weekend and the AMA Amateur
Nationals, Sam Lowe took the 600cc Pro-Am
class at Lawrenceburg with a decisive win
over Lisa Hiler and Barry Benkert.
In the Combo feature, Damon Stapleton
rode a flawless race, beating Lowe, Joe Garrison and Joel Brown. Actually, Brown was
beaten by his motorcycle, as it quit on him
late in the race whHe he was running third.
Brown did, however, win the Open A feature, over David Wolf, Cody Shamblin, Staple-
ton and Garrison.
Joey Ratz won the 125cc contest for the
third straight week. Joey Britton came in second for the third time.
Wolf won the XR100 feature. Tim
Humphries had the lead and seemed destined
for his third straight win in the XR100 and Up
