IN 4681 8 Product Evaluation 1---------------------------------------------------.. 800/242-0489 \NVVVV.klotzlube.com Mammoth Fuel At the recent Mammoth Motocross, I decided that, since the track there is my (avorite o( ali time. I had to race It this year if I was going to be up there covering the event. Tbe one thing I wasn't lookmg (orward to was the jetting changes (or the race, and then the changes that would need to be made upon return. And that's where Klotz came m. I bad heard from some friends o( mine that Klotz made an oxygenated fuel additive calied Coxoc (co-zoc), What I had heard was that, if you mixed one galion o( Coxoc with (our galions o( fuel. and then premixed that as if it were five galions o( fuel, you could run a bike at Mammoth with no jettmg changes. I was skeptical, but Jay Clark, who represents Klotz and Wiseco Pistons at the races, hooked me up with enough fuel (or my race and it was totally amazing. Not only did tbe bike run realiy well with only an airscrew adlustment, it ran almost as strongly as it does down at sea level. Amazing. Jay said that ali he did was mix Coxoc with 87-octane pump fuel at a 4-1 ratio and tben premix that. That's it. Coxoc carries an additional 37 percent pure oxygen in the DllXture, wluch effeetlvely makes up for the air your bike's not getting at the 8000-(oot Mammoth Motocross track. It's not cheap, but It'S worth it not only in the time it saves you (rom jetting and rejetting your bike, but also in the power you get to keep at the normaliy power-robbing altitude. Klotz also claims that Coxoc IS equaliy e((ective in four-stroke engines. Steve Cox 120 JULY 31.2002. cue I • n • VIr S
