Scott Petty continued his good riding in the
Senior (Over 40) class with his second consecutive win, a fine 4.224-second effort on his
CR500, to barely edge Trosper, who carded a
4.231-second run on his Honda. Trosper has
been dominating the Senior class this year,
but he must be looking over his shoulder
somewhat now at the hard-charging Petty and
Mark Peters, who have split the wins in the last
four races.
Gayle Jenkins resumed his winning ways
in the Super Senior (Over 50) class, having
been bested for the first time this year the
night before (by Ron Todd). The "Old Pro'
posted a decent 4.796-second time on his
CR500 for the win. Bud Northrup claimed second on his CR500, and Keith Klett, riding
Northrup's YZ250, took the third spot.
