Vamaha-mounted Joey Stanley finished second overall with a 2-3 tally, and Suzuki jockey Darryl Silvers claimed third with a 5-2 score, in front of Randy Bruder on a Phoenix Sport Cycle Vamaha and Honda rider Chris Cannady. Kawasaki jockey Tom East took the overall in the Over 30 B class with a 2-1 tally, in front of Suzuki pilot Jason Webb (3-2) and Bruder (4-3). Vamaha rider Brian Guerin daimed fourth overall, in front of Honda riders Byron Smith and first-moto winner Todd Denney. Fox also took the overall in the 250cc B dass, edging out Adam Booth. In mota one, Booth took the early lead, in front of Fox and Brian Bonham. Fox slid out on lap two, losing two positions, but was back in second by the end of the lap. Kevin Kirschbaum took third from Bonham on lap three, and Cliff Brock rounded out the top five. In mota two, Booth again led Fox and Kirschbaum. Fox pressured Booth the entire race and took the top spot on the last lap for the win. BRUSH, CO, MAV 26 Andy Atkins, a well-known Colorado Pro rider, cleaned up at the RMXA's Spring Series event. The District 25 contingency race was held in Brush, Colorado, at Sweney Cycle Park, on a beautiful day for racing after a week of high winds that destroyed the announcer's tower at the park! Some 620 riders came out for round severt of the nine· race RMXA Spring Series. Sweney Cycle Park is the site of the annual Rocky Mountain Amateur Nationals over Labor Day weekend and the winner of the RMXA's Track of the Vear Award.
