Jorgensen. Filling out the top nine were Everts, Andrea Bartolini, Roman Jelen, Cedric Melotte, Danielle Bricco, and Joakim Karlsson. Everts was finding his way past several riders, although it took the five-time World Champion no time at all to reel in Jorgensen, and he passed the Danish Husqvarna rider on lap two. Once into second place, though, Everts was already shot. "I had worked hard in those early laps," Everts said. "I knew I would not get to Smets and Garcia. They were just too fast today." "He's a pretty good rider," a smiling Garcia said of Smets. "I wanted to win today. I rode really hard and kept my rhythm. When he passed me, I tried to stay with him and nearly crashed. I knew then that I had to take it a little e·asy. I don't want to crash, and a podium with Smets and Everts is okay for me." Smets, determined to recover from another poor run of form, controlled the race once he got past Garcia. "It's was tough," Smets said. "This track is not too difficult, and that makes the racing close. Many riders can race at a good pace. I guess that is Doma's plan - to make the racing good, although I want to race on a rough track. Then I can show my potential. The championship is not over for me, although it's going to be difficult. I just have to keep winning and hope Stefan has problems." &ama IIositZlI Circuit Sevlie"., Bulgerie Results: JUlIe Z3, zaaz lRoend 1 of 1ZI t25GP: I. Alex Puzar (Hus): 2.
