Once DiSalvo got by in Canada Corner, he was able to hold Moore off to the line. "I was just really hoping to put a gap that he couldn't close up on the back straight, and I just couldn't do it: Moore said of the run to Canada Corner. Smith knew early on that his machine didn't have the power of the others.
