Their weapons came in many colors, and the
c2Iliber was based on the number of ce's. Their
weapons were not holstered at the hip, but
when used quickly at the drop of the gate,
they could get the drop on their competition.
Inevitably, dusk arrived, the dust settled and
the noise died down, and through the haze,
the winner stood alone with the with the covet·
ed number-one plaque.
In the 80cc Open class, that man was
Shawn Hayes, who was unstoppable as he
took the holeshots and wins in both motos.
Chad Anderson and Cole Seely finished
behind Hayes in moto one, ahead of Phil
Thorstensen and Dane Jackson. Brad Masters
was keeping pace with Hayes early in moto
one before taking a soil sample and getting up
to finish sixth. In moto two, Seeley and Anderson swapped moto finishes behind Hayes to
give Seely the runner-up spot and drop Anderson to third overall. Masters was fourth in
moto two for fourth overall, ahead of Jackson,
who placed sixth in moto two for fifth overall.
Dana Dreier took all the glory in both 80cc
(0- 1 I) motos. Dreier took the lead, ahead of
Brent Bohanon, Patrick Haney, Mitchell Alcorn
and Austine Eithel. Bohanon took second with
a pass on Haney during moto one. as Alcorn
passed Eithel to pick up fourth. All five riders
finished in the same order during moto two.
Blair Cisar picked up the holeshot in the
first 8Cce Beginner Division Two moto, ahead
of Spencer Wemli and Jeff Martija. Cisar and
Wernli had problems shortly thereafter and
wound up 14th and 11th, respectively, This
left the iead to Martija for short time, before
Maxx Touw came from fourth place to take
the lead for the win. Martija finished second,
ahead of Aaron Vtarrade. Rene Lopez started
out in ninth but moved into fourth by the end
of moto one after a pass on Anthony Gould.

In moto two, Wemly and Cisar were out for
redemption. Wemli grabbed the lead and the
win for fifth overall. Touw picked up the run·
ner-up spot to claim the overall with his 1-2
scores. Moto-one third-place finisher Ytarrade
did not finish moto two, leaving the door open
for Cisar, who took seventh overall with his
14-3 finishes. Lopez was again fourth, for third
overall, ahead of Gould, who went 5-6 for
fourth overall.
Class was back in session, as Schoolboy
attendees Steven Cisar, Brandon Hiner and
Tyler O'Neill soon found out. Absent since
round three was Cale Wallace, who beat Wray
in both rounds with four moto wins. It was up
to Zach Wray to once again play substitute on
behalf of Wallace, and he showed the class
who was the fastest rider on the track. Wray
took both moto wins to claim four first-place
