The riders came into the second round hoping to pick up points on their competitors or start puiling away. Christopher Johnson was hoping to pick up points after finishing third at the first round. Johnson did more than that; he won the 125cc Beginner class for the day and left with the points lead as well. The first-round winner moved up to the 0 class, so Johnson was only two points away from the leader, Dustin Geissmann. Johnson won, with Geissmann finishing a distant fourth on the day. Geissmann holds second in the points but has dropped four points behind Johnson. Picking up some ground on Geissmann was Daniel Griffith, who finished second on the day. Griffith is only two points back In third. Newcomer to the series Jeremy Sapp finished third for the day. Kevin Edgar finished fifth and moved into fourth In the series. only four points back from Griffith. The largest class of the day was the Supermini class. Matt Theus won again for the se<> ond week to extend his points lead. Theus now has a 1a-point lead over his nearest rival, Waylon Maloy. First-round runner-up Jonathan Canto had a disappointing day, finishing sixth. but he still managed to hold on to third in the standings. Chad Stacey made his presence known by winning the 85cc (7- 11) class and finishing second on the day in the Supermini class. Joel Donaroma took third, and Maloy was fourth. Travis Graves finished fifth and holds fifth in the series, behind Eric Dobbs, who finished seventh. Johnnie Gargano tried his hand at the series and won the 65cc Open class. Firstround winner Austin Kimes finished thjrd on the day and still holds a six-point lead. Ziggy Graves picked up a couple of points on Kimes and finished second on the day. after finishing fifth at the first round. Justin Harris wound up fourth on the day and Is tied in points with Graves for second. Zane Carney holds down fourth in the series after finishing sixth on the day.
