overall class victory at the second round of the fourth annual Florida Motocross Series, In
Dade City, Florida.
Mulleavey joined the rear end of the
group. Usuga finally pulled out for
third. Tiffany held off Pedrero, until
Pedrero slid out and Mulleavey
moved up into the fifth spot. The
order was now set.
Renner had something for Meeks
in the second moto. Renner pulled
the holeshot and powered the Yamaha out front for the entire moto.
Meeks held second, but it was his
turn to feel the roost, from Renner.
The two pulled away again and finished in that order. There was another
scrap for third. Tiffany held the spot,
followed by Usuga, Mulleavey,
Pedrero and Matt Lee. Usuga and
Mulleavey made their way around
Tiffany for third and fourth, respectively. Tiffany finished fifth.
Jimmy Warren won the first Supermini moto. Meeks finished second,
and Renner came home in third.
Marcelo Goday, the 85cc (7-11) winner, finished fourth, and Marisa
Hampshire rounded out the top five.

and won the second moto, over
Meeks and Warren. Goday finished
fourth again, and Pedrero filled out
the top five.

the pack on the first lap. Robert Yoho
took over as Jeremy Cox, Don
Besnier, Anthony Matuschewsky and
Thomas Darcy followed. Besnier
moved into second, ahead of Cox, as
the two put the pressure on Yoho for
the lead. The two got into first and
second, and Yoho fell off before the
whoops while riding third. Besnier
passed Cox for the lead over the big
tabletop coming out of the back section. Matuschewsky passed the tired
Cox for second on the last lap. Darcy
finished fourth, and Yoho made it
back to fifth.
Besnier did not mess around in the
second moto; he grabbed the
holeshot and slowly pulled away to
take the win. McLeran swapped
places with Yoho a couple of times
but came out with second.
Matuschewsky came up through the
pack to place fourth, and Cox
finished fifth.
Edward Higgins charged from a
sixth-place start in the first Over 35
moto to take the win, while Tony Gallardy fought off Richard Rohn for second at the end. Steve Stojack came
out of the top 10 to finish fourth.
John Coleman also suffered from a
bad start but made it up to the
fifth spot.
In the second moto, Gallardy, Stojack and Higgins battled for the top
spot. Higgins finally came away with
the win, Stojack took second and
Gallardy third. Craig Johnson ran a
distant fourth for most of the race,
after moving up to seventh in the first
moto. Over 45 rider Les Burnside
took fourth toward the end over
Johnson, as the two classes ran
combined.
