the final lap, Graves and Toye encountered a lapped rider coming into turn si.x. Graves gained a slight advantage in the pass, pre- venting Toye from making a run for the lead in the final few turns and leaving Toye to finish second and Headley in third. In the 750cc Superbike race, Toye was the leader off the line, with Phil Herrin taking an early second and Landers in third. Landers powered past Herrin and then set his sights on Toye. Going down the front straight to start lap two, Landers drafted and passed Toye, but Toye retook the lead coming out of tum one. For the remainder of the race, Landers would pass Toye on the front straight or coming out of turn nine, only to have Toye retake the lead in turn one. On the final lap, Landers and Toye were side by side on the front straight. but Landers had a slight horsepower advantage and crossed the line haif a bike length in front of Toye. Herrin took third. Graves was the fastest racer off the line in the Open Superbike event, followed by Tyler Paulson and Jack Pfeifer. Those racers held those positions into lap two, when a crashed rider brought out the red flags and a four-iap race restart. Graves, Paulson and Pfeifer were in the lead at the restart. Pfeiffer closed on Paulson down the front straight to start lap two and attempted to pass in turn one but was shut out. However, Pfeifer persisted and found a way around Paulson on the outside of the fast tum·eight sweeper. While Paulson made several attempts to retake second, his efforts came up short, leaving Graves with the race win, followed by Pfeifer in second and Paulson in third. Results F·l: 1.
