Cycle Ranch MX Park: Rusty Schoonover (197) leads Shea Fouchek (8), Michael Royal
(561) and the rest of the senior 80cc class down the first hill in Floresville, Texas, site of
the opening round of the SoSe Texas Championship Summer series.
The second moto got under way
with no crashes and Kirchner pulling
out an early lead. Suzuki-mounted
Boehle worked his way through the
pack and had Kirchner in sight but
could not reel him in, and he settled
in for a comfortable second. Flores
finished third, followed by Justin
Kopcak and San Antonio's T.W.
Friesenhahn. Fuller had problems in
the second moto and finished his
day with a 5-27 score, giving him
15th overall.
Sean Hackley Jr. was the one to
beat in the 80cc Senior class, as he
finished out his day with a 1-1 score,
taking out some fast company that
included Rusty Schoonover (3-2),
Edinburg's Shea Fouchek (4-3),
Michael Royal (2-6), Michael Perry
(6-4) and Weston McCulloch (5-5).
Charles Castloo put the hurt on the
Schoolboy class, winning both motos.
Austin Miller went 2-2 and Sean
Hackley Jr. went 3-3. Bobby Trip
took fourth overall with a 5-5 score,
while Kawasaki-mounted D.J. Torres
and Miles Moore mixed it up over
fifth. Torres came out on top, posting
a 4-6 score, with Moore taking 7 -4 on
the day.
Lindsay Myers, from nearby New
Braunfels, had a great day of racing,
winning the 60cc Open class with
a 2-1 score, edging out Corey Self
(1-2) and Derek Howerton (3-3).
Myers also took second place in the
60cc Senior contest, as well as fifth in
the 80cc Junior
