APR. 13·14 ilpatrick Motocross was the setting for round three of the Georgia-Alabama Championship Series, which doubled as a Loretta Lynn's Qualifier. Stock classes and Youth classes qualified on Saturday, with the series races and Modified classes qualifying on Sunday. With almost 600 rider5 ranging from 4 to 66 years old, the racing was as fierce as it could get. The weather was a little damp on both days, but the track held up beautifully, as the sandy terrain soaked up the slight drizzle that fell for about 30 minutes on Sunday. Saturday's action started off with a bang as the 125cc A qualifiers got under way. A great battle ensued between South Carolina's Spencer Will and Alabama's Chad Ward. Will led moto one up until the last lap, when Ward put a hard move on the inside of Will to get past for the firstmoto win. Moto two was all Ward's, as a holeshot led to checkers for the Suzuki-Yamaha of Dalton rider. Will was again runner-up in the second moto.
