Mills added, "James [MarshallJ had said if he saw me coming, he'd get out of the way, 'cause he knew I was going for the championship. When he let me around, I gained on Gracyk on the last lap. By the whoops, I was right on him, and going into that last corner before the finish line, I just held it wide open and clicked third, went around the outside, hit the finish line Wide-open and landed about 30 feet later in the mechanics' area. I hurt my hand a little bit, but it was definitely worth it." Gracyk said, "I got a good holeshot and just felt great. I kept charging and waiting for that checkered flag to come out. In the last lap, I knew someone was coming, but I wasn't about to look behind me, as that is the first step to losing. I came into the last corner and didn't know that Mills was that close. I launched off the jump first, but he got to the checkers first. It just killed me." Nick Adams grabbed the holeshot in the 250cc Stock Intermediate race, saying, "I only looked back once or twice. [Cole] Siebler crashed out in the first moto, so I wasn't worried about him. He had a faster line in the whoops at first, so I finally caught on to what everyone was doing. It was pretty knocked-down on the right side, so that definitely was the faster line." In the 250cc Intermediate Modified division, Honda of Houston/FMF's J.J. Pecsok garnered second behind Adams off the start. "He [Pecsok] put up a pretty good fight at first," said Adams, a Yamaha/FMF-backed 16year-old. "After that, I don't know who was behind me. I had a pretty good line through the whoops and made very few mistakes. I just relaxed in the last lap and had fun, as my mechanic said I had a pretty good lead." KTMs and Polin is wreaked havoc in the Pee Wee classes, with Polinimounted Justin Hill of Washington taking the win in the 50cc (4-6) Stock contest. Cobra's Tyler McSwain, of North Carolina, topped the (4-6) Modified Pee Wee race, while Polini's A.J. Catanzaro won the Modified (7-8) class. KTM's Grand Ransdell and Shaun Rife won the championships in the Pee Wee Stock (7-8) and Super Pee Wee classes, respectively. eN Dominic lui (Suz); 3. Colten Maynard (Suz); 4.
