placed rider Leonard Mellgren. By lap four, Igercic had caught Mellgren and was pressing. On lap five, Igercic got the inside line on Mellgren entering tum three, making the pass as Mellgren passed on the inside of a backmarker - making it three deep in three. At the finish, Hammel was alone in first, with Igercic a distant second. Mellgren took third. Jeff Russell followed in fourth. Starting outside of Hammel in race two, Igercic stalked Hammel for the entire race. With only one tum to go, Igercic put all the \S'~~ LEE BIVENS presents Limited Edition Lithograph Prints Signed By The Racer chips on the table and made his move. Diving into the comer, 1gercic pushed the line, forcing Hammel to check up big-time. Both Igercic and Hammel were hard on the power to the line; Hammel came up short. Igercic took the race win and the overall. Hammel had to settle for second. Unable to make the start in race one, Josh Alverson was a wild card in race two, adding to the mix by taking third. Russell came in a consistent fourth for thjrd overall, and Mellgren placed fifth for fourth overall. Fielding its largest grid ever, the Formula Three 125cc GP lived up to expectations. Hot off the line and running close, the leading five riders fought for position. Igercic led through lap two, with Alverson, Mellgren and young Nick Moore in pursuit. By lap four, Alverson had taken the point, with Mellgren tight in second, Igercic falling to third, and Russell moving up into fourth. Mistaking the white flag for the checkers, Igercic pulled off, giving up a solid third, while Alverson and Mellgren rode to an unchallenged first and second. Moore got the better of Russell to take third. The afternoon race was increasingly iffy, as the weather was turning hostile and several riders pulled out. Alverson showed up to repeat his morning win, with Russell stepping up to take second. Igercic stayed on track to grab third and Moore hung on to fourth. In the overall, Moore took third, thanking Igercic, in fourth, for his miscue. In Amateur 80cc GP racing, Jeff Jones rode to an easy first overall. He is looking forward to being bumped up to Expert.
