La Fountaine returned aboard his Fox/Dragon/Bridgestone/Works Connection-sponsored RM 125 to sweep both motos of 125cc Novice action. Taylor was also in the thick of it, turning good starts into a 2-2 performance. Bobby Romero made his way up through traffic in both races to go 4-3 to top the 3-5 score of Kyle Foltz and the 7-4 score of Kevin Frisbie for the third-place trophy. Colt Hubbs and his Jim G ibson/Motul/O' Nea I/Spy - ba cked Cobra continue to be a major threat in the 50cc classes, and this day was no exception, as he went four for four to ace both the 50cc Stock (7 -8) and 50cc Open classes. Daniel Overton kept Hubbs honest throughout the day en route to finishing second overall in both classes. Garrett Jackson topped Paul Nelson for third in the Stock class, with the two riders swapping overalls in the Open class. KTM-mounted Tyler Duncan collected the 125cc Intermediate firstmota win, but a bad start and the resulting fifth-place finish in round two held him to third overall, behind 60 BEG: 1.
