The Los Ancianos utilized a new start area just outside the gates of Rancho Veronica, which
made it easier for race attendees interested in such luxuries as hotel rooms and restaurant
meals, Most of the course consisted of virgin trails. The morning loop was a little over eight
miles in length, and four additional tight miles were added for the afternoon race.
Los Ancianos member Bill Berroth made a point of thanking all the event sponsors, without
the help of whom, he said, the race would have been impossible. Said sponsors were KTM,
Kawasaki Team Green, Acerbis, Michelin, FMF, Sidi, gOg, Maxima, Scotts Performance and
Montclair Yamaha,
