Little Egypt Motorcycle Club: Doug Blackwell mastered the mud to score the overall victory at the sixth round of the AMAlMid-South Championship Winter Hare Scrambles Series in Crab Orchard, Illinois. Little Egypt Motorcycle Club: Jake Young took a well-deserved second-place finish in the Junior class at the sixth round of the Mid-South Championship Youth Hare Scrambles Series in Crab Orchard, Illinois. Mid-South Championship Youth Hare Scrambles Series Round 6: Little Egypt Motorcycle Club and Zach Nash on lap three. Corrett and Nash finished second and third, and Conners managed to hang on to fourth. Ryan Hamilton completed the top five. Robinson continued to build on his points lead by claiming his fourth victory of the series. Jake Young grabbed the holeshot in the Junior class. "1 like the mud," stated Young. "I practice in the mud and feel like it gives me an advantage." Series points leader Cody Miller tangled with another rider on the start and was left playing catch-up. It didn't take long for Miller to charge through the pack, however, and by the second lap he had moved into second place, behind Young. Chaz Green held third, with a hard-running Brandon Crawford in fourth. Jeffrey Ketchum had taken his Yamaha through the pack to fifth. Schoettmer and Martin continued to run up front, avoiding the deep water. By the fourth lap, Travis Horton had moved up behind Chapman. This order would not change and Schoettmer claimed the win, followed by Martin in second and Chapman in third. Horton took fourth and Dylan Majors rounded out the top five. All the Mini riders deserve credit for enduring these tough conditions. Kawasaki-mounted Luke Robinson continued his winning ways by grabbing the holeshot and leading all five laps in the Intermediate class. Sarge's Cycles/Thor/Smith/Klotz/ Tag-backed Miller enjoyed his fourth victory of the series. Young claimed second, ahead of third-placed Crawford. Sinisalo/Krause Racing-backed Green took fourth, with MSR/Rockhard/IMS-supported Ketchum claiming fifth.
