Langston had cut Boniface's lead to three seconds, and by lap 13 Langston had caught him. The two were about seven seconds clear of Smith in third, who then had a few seconds on Antunez, in fourth, and Wey, who had worked his way up to fifth and was pressuring the Suzuki 125cc pilot. As they got into lappers, Antunez got held up and couldn't jump a stepup, and Wey was close enough to capitalize and get around for fourth. And on the following go-around, Langston went inside Boniface for the lead, and they collided. "I saw Grant take second place," Boniface said. "I know he was fast, so I just ride too easy because I know he come back. And in the corner, he come inside, and I was in the rut, and I could not do nothing, and I crashed." "He went up and he squared the turn, and I came in and he tried to get on the power and his front wheel touched my rear wheel because I kept real low," Langston said of the incident. "I didn't want to bump him or anything, I just wanted to come in and make the pass." The crash sent Boniface back to third, behind a relieved Smith, although Boniface was close enough to strike back for second. But, in the end, Boniface could do nothing with Smith and had to settle for third. Wey finished fourth on the borrowed mount, and Langston took an easy victory. "I'm a little bit disappointed, but it was a good race," Boniface said. "I did 10 laps really, really fast and then I just ride easy, but it wasn't too bad for the first race." "I was relaxed, didn't get arm pump," Langston said. "I got a notso-good start, then 1 collided with a guy - I cased a double and he landed on me - and then I was able to come through the pack and pick off one guy at a time. I was riding relaxed - I rode kind of like my normal self." eN th ~;preCia 'on eveni 9 autograph signing Chaparral Motorsports 555 South 'W Street San Bernardino, CA 92470 Mill Street Exit off the 275 FWY In San Bernardino scheduled to attend: ASTlTharlBud light Jeremy McGrath Team Yamaha David Vuillemin TIm Ferry Team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki Ezra Lusk Stephan Rancada James Stewart Troy Lee Designs Ernesta Fonseca Thor Racing Sebastian Tartelli O'Neal Danny Smith Nicholas Wey Team Pro CircultlKawasakVChevy Trucks Mike Brawn Bobby Bands Shoe Bentley Team Mota-World Raclng.com Daman Huffman Andrew Short Justin Buckflew Ben Riddle Plano Honda Billy Payne Casey Johnson Scott Sheak Travis Elliot Justin Smith Team Suzuki Travis Pastrana Kevin Windham Buddy Antunez Danny Smith Shane Bess Yamaha of Troy Chad Reed Radrig Thain Ivan Tedesco Greg Schnell Team O'NeallFoetory Connection Mike Larocco Travis Preston Mike Byme Chris Goessler Invited quests: Fox Racing Ricky Carmichael 909/889-2761 Glen Helen Raceway Parte San Bernardino, Califomia Results: December Z9, ZOO1 125 MAIN: 1.
