up. Ellis took the win in the second half but had to settle for second 125cc Beginner overall, behind Draper. Stewart took third overall, losing the second-moto tie breaker to Ellis. Guzman and Larsen filled out spots four and five. The 85cc Novice class was also banging bars on the third of November. Colten Greenhalgh was the man in this contest, although he did have to work for his title. Timothy Kerr jumped out in front of Alex Matteson, Brodie Humphries and Greenhalgh as race action began. Colten moved up quickly. storming through to the front before lap one was over. Once in front, he put the hammer down and left the racing for second place - and what a race it was, with Kerr and Humphries banging bars and swapping decals until Humphries was able to pull away at the end and claim the runner-up spot. Humphries, still cheezed up from his first-moto heroics, smoked the start to lead Kerr and Matteson out into battle. After a mediocre start, Greenhalgh was moving through the pack - as he had in race one. By midrace, Greenhalgh had taken the lead and, just as in race one, he motored off to an easy victory and the 85cc Novice crown. Kerr was able to slide home in second and edge Humphries for second overall. eN Cedar Raceway Park Cedar City, Utah Results: November 3, 2001 [Round 5 of SJ 50 BEG (4-6): 1. Raycen Sllow (Cob): 2.
