211 Raceway Wilkins' 1-2 Punch By ANDREA HIGDON LUBBOCK, TX, NOV, 25 Round three of the Fall Series at 211 Raceway in Lubbock, Texas, showed that you really can save the best for last. The weather was cold and windy, but the racing was hot! The 125cc Beginner class set the pace for the day on "fast and furious." In moto one, Jeremy Wilkins took the holeshot. Like a freight train, Wilkins was followed by Tanner Moore, Frank Briseno and Troy Lowry. A crash on lap two allowed Lowry to move into second, On lap three, Briseno passed Lowry for second and didn't look back, Wilkins, Briseno, Lowry and Eric Sisneros kept the racing exciting. Within seconds of each other, Wilkins took the checkers, with Briseno, Lowry and Sisneros close behind, Wilkins took the holeshot again in moto two, On lap two, Moore passed Wilkins for the lead, With Moore out front, Wilkins, Sisneros and Tyler Meiser kept the pressure on, Several times, these four were so close that they were side by side over jumps, and it was difficult to distinguish one bike from another in the corners, Rapidly closing on this bunch, however, was Briseno, who was trying to recover from his usual poor start. Pushing as hard as he could, he was rapidly catching the lead pack when his front tire sucked up Lowry's rear fender, This caused both of them to crash, and it took the efforts of several of the spectators IIaDIiaI it 1111 It _ III IIuIUlrGd all1llllirty mites III her is .. ia • day's work.
