"The course was a lot of fun," Robinson said, "but it was pretty rocky." The Intermediate class is very competitive and promises to provide some great race action throughout the season. Twenty-eight riders lined up for the Junior class, and Sarge's Cycle/Thor/ Smith/Tag/Klotz-backed Cody Miller quickly took his RM80 to the lead. The Mini class competed on a course that used portions of the motocross track, featuring two whoop sections. The Mini race started with Steven Middlebrook capturing the lead. In second place was Jackson Ward, with Cody Smith trailing in third. This battle continued for three laps until Ward was overtaken by Smith. On the fourth lap, Smith took the lead on his KTM, pushing Middlebrook back to second. Meanwhile, Anthony Ferguson was mounting a charge to the front on his Yamaha, battling with Middlebrook and finally overtaking T Capshaw overtook Zanet on the next lap, and the top five positions would not change again. "The track was awesome!" enthused the winner, Miller. "I took the holeshot and never looked back." "( pushed hard," said the secondplace finisher, Green, adding, "The track was good but pretty rocky in places." Young turned in another good run, finishing third, with Capshaw in fourth and Zanet in fifth. "My mom's very proud," Capshaw remarked, "this was a good course with lots of woods. I rode my heart out." The Mid-South Youth Series has gotten off to a great start. This round drew a total of 69 riders to fill three eN classes.
