oAII-new Kawasaki integrated Power-valve System (KIPS) features a simpler
2-piece slider-type exhaust valve that opens faster and creates a larger timing
gap between the main and subvalves for more mid-range power.
°The slide-type KIPS power valve sits lower in the exhaust port with a
smaller frontal orea focing the piston that helps reduce resistance for
the exhaust.
oNew, shorter stroke governor arm with lighter spring matches the
smaller face of new KIPS valve.
oBy reshaping the exhaust port window and widening it 2mm, the
exhaust can exit the cylinder quicker for a noticeable punch in low
and mid-range power.
oThe bottom end of the connecting rod features a wider oil groove for
improved oil flow and greater reliability. The bottom end bearing is
now 72mm for reduced creep and improved durability.
