Hurricane Hilla Sports Center: Nick McPhee (214) leads Chaz Light (23), Ron Weilson (441), Tony Peregrin (189) and the rest of the pack Into the first tum in the first 65cc (7-9) moto at the District 6 points race in Clifford, Pennsylvania. Dineen and Jason Babemitch. neck, Babernitch, Savitsky and James managed to get his YZ off Draghi. Three turns or so later, the the gate ahead of the pack in the sec- top two were unchanged, with Draghi ond moto and rounded the first turn quickly making two passes to take with the lead. Trailing him were Sch- third. Savitsky held fourth and Baber- nitch was relegated to fifth. Just after the green flag signaling the start of lap two, James was visibly missing from the point position, which gave Schneck the lead. Draghi moved to second, with Savitsky third, Dineen fourth and Babernitch fifth. By the start of lap three, the top four were beginning to spread out. James made a pass on Babemitch for fifth. When the checkers flew, Schneck took the win, followed by Draghi, Dineen, James and Savitsky. McPhee piloted his Ktoom to the early lead in the first 65cc (7-9) moto and never looked back. McPhee went wire to wire unchallenged and finished the first moto with a 15-second advantage. Trailing McPhee out of the first turn were Ron Weilson, Chaz Light, Tony Peregrin and Jesse Kuzybt. As McPhee quickly pulled away from the pack, Peregrin managed to quickly move from fourth to second by lap two, relegating Weilson to third. Kuzbyt held fourth and Light dropped back to fifth. The leaders qUickly spread out and went pretty much unchanged all the way to the checkered flag. The official first-moto finish was McPhee, Peregrin, Weilson, Kuzbyt and Light. McPhee managed to repeat his great start in the second moto and quickly put some distance between himself and the rest of the class. Trailing him were Peregrin, Kuzbyt, Light, Weilson and Keith Kovac. McPhee's lead was a whopping 14 seconds by the third lap. Once again, the leaders spread out, with not much happening until the final lap. The second moto went in the books as McPhee, Peregrin, Kuzbyt, Weilson and Light.
