Steven George (8X) finished second, and Trey Williams (2X) ended up fifth. Martin of Blacksburg, South Carolina, set his sights on Warwick and kept Double Deuce Racing's Reagan Perry in fourth. In the Over 25 C/D points chase, Lambert enjoys a 32·point cushion on Warwick; in turn, Warwick is ahead of Perry by almost the same margin. Lambert is virtually uncatchable in the Over 30 C/D division, ahead of Warwick by a big 60 points, Boyd Lambert Jr. rode second to Matt Martin in their 80cc D Division Two qualifier, ahead of Steven George, Andy Snellings and Richard Rigdon. While Martin cruised to the win, Lambert (aboard #5X) and George (mounted on #8X) engaged in '''The Battle of the X-Men." Withstanding intense pressure from George's passing ray (augmented by a tractor beam, presumably), Lambert maintained course and touched down in second, where he had begun. Martin's Kawasaki can usually be found out in front on the start, but when the gate dropped for the 80cc D Division Two main event, it was Lambert who absconded with the holeshot. Martin struggled with a very bad beginning, finally clawing his way to sixth. Meanwhile, Lambert and George continued "The Battle of the X-Men, Part Deux." George tried every maneuver he'd learned so far, but to no avail. The #5X and 8X were joined by the #2X of Trey Williams, who broke into the top five after finishing far down in the qualifier. Snellings and Rigdon had their own tussle over who would get to finish third, with the flag marking Snellings in that position. The 80cc D points standings are of interest, in that Todd Ray and Brandon Moose, who went first and second in 80 D Division One, are now only five points apart in the same relative positions (with Ray leading the whole thing). Ten points behind Moose in third comes Matt Martin, and his misfortune, combined with Boyd's win, puts Lambert a slim two points behind him in fourth. Matt Ramsey of Gaffney, South Carolina, rode to third in Division One, putting him only one point behind Lambert in fifth. Georg.e sits in sixth, 13 points down from Ramsey.
