hit Portland Motor Speedway Saturday night, taking only 8.28 minutes
to demolish the field of riders in the
20-lap Pro Singles main event on the
hard-clay half mile track.
In doing so, the lstlegal.com/USC
Racing-sponsored Poovey extended
his points lead in the Formula USA
Pro Singles Championship Series to
62 points over Harley-Davidson's
Jennifer Snyder, whose seventh-place
finish was enough to preserve her
standings in the points for now. Dan
Stanley's second-place showing
moved him up four places to a tie with
Brett Landes in sixth. While Poovey's
lead is starting to look insurmount-

was riding his pit bike from place to
place around the inside of the track.
Checking the condition of the track
and observing the other riders at
speed turned out to be time well
spent for the series points leader. The
hard-clay surface still had some
tricky sections in spite of the fact that
track workers had been prepping it
since early that day, and it just wasn't
in the exceptional condition that riders remembered from last year's
event.
