"The bike stayed straight off the bottom, so I could hit the jumps on line and wide open," Strank said. Thomas wheeled his twin back into the start pit to try to retake the lead, but he got out of shape and wasn't I able to put a solid run together. However, Templeton put in a great run to move into second with a 9.259-second pass. "The bottom wasn't clean," Templeton said. "I had to take the one rut that throws you into the middle, but once I got it straight, I just turned it on, trying to catch Tiger. He just had a phenomenal run." Gerencer's Harley-Davidsonbacked Tim Frazier had a solid firstround pass but was much faster on his second run. He was smooth and straight all the way up the hill and edged Thomas for third with his 9All-second run. "I am feeling a lot better on the motorcycle with every ride," Frazier said. "I was surprised that I fInished third, but it's great to be back on the podium. It's taken a lot of hard work to get here." Disbennett had problems on the last run of the day and had to settle for fifth. Strank celebrated after his impressive win. "This is the best day I ever had," Strank proclaimed. "The 540 ran superb, and on the 800, the valves were floating and 1 was saying, 'Go faster, go faster.' Then I crossed the lights. When they told me it was an 8.8, I couldn't believe it." eN Bushkill V.II.y MIltIIrcycI. Club fnleSm.nsbu..., Pennsylnnl. Resuhs:Sept.mb.r',2DDl 800: 1. Wolter Stronk Jr. (Yom); 2.
