Perris Raceway O'Neil Sweeps at Perris By KENNY MORRIS PERRIS, CA, AUG. 1B Tyler O'Neil swept the BOcc Beginner class with a 1-1 to take the overall win at round six of the Temecula Motorsports Hot Summer Night Series at Perris Raceway. The gate was full, with about 30 BOcc Beginners ready to do battle. When the gate dropped for the first moto, O'Neil grabbed the holeshot, followed by Chris Greecke and William Henderson. O'Neil quickly began to extend his lead. Greeke was getting pressure from Henderson; he swung wide through a left-handed comer, which allowed Henderson to sneak to the inside. Greeke tried to keep Henderson at bay, but to no avail. Henderson then set his sight on the O'Neil. Coming through the pack was Ryan Stuckey, who closed in to challenge Greeke for third. Meanwhile, O'Neil was running fast lap times, which gave him a comfortable lead. With the laps winding down, O'Neil put it on cruise control and took the win, with Henderson a lonely . second and Greeke just edging out Stuckey for third. The gate was full once again for the second moto. When the gate dropped, O'Neil powered his YZBO to the holeshot again, with Henderson and Greeke following. Henderson tried to make a pass on O'Neil by diving to the inside line of a sweeping right-hander, but O'Neil was able to maintain his momentum on the outside to hold on to the lead. Greeke was running third when Garrett Kingan began to close in. Kingan began to look for passing room by checking to the inside and outside of every comer. Kingan grabbed the preferred line through the whoop section, which allowed him to move into third. Meanwhile, O'Neil began to. pull away from Henderson and extend his lead. The laps began to wind down, and the top three riders began to spread out. When the checkered flag waved, O'Neil took the win, with Henderson in second and Kingan in third.
