Champion took home another firstplace trophy for his collection. When the starter's green flag flew, Marc Gifford got off the line first, with Champion and Craig Montgomery giving chase on a couple of Yamaha R6s. Stranger-Thorsen followed in fourth. Montgomery made an early but brief bid for the win by first passing Champion for second on lap two and then slotting into the lead on lap three. Gifford reclaimed his spot up front a lap later and appeared to be in control of the race, but then, on lap five, Gifford's Yamaha pitched him out of the saddle accelerating out of turn nine. His handling problems quickly worsened and Gifford was forced to back it down and safely finish the race in sixth. Champion was promoted to first, and Montgomery collected second. Adam Coco crossed the line third. CN Texas World SpeedwlY Colle 0 SIMian, Toxas Results: August 18-19, 20al (Round SI Endurance Series O/A: 1. Bent Racing (Suz): 2. H+H Motorsporu (Suz); 3.
