AMA Pacific Northwest Championship Series Round 4: Ward Creek Motocross Park rider final. Harvin jumped out front at the unleashing and remained there to post a win, ahead of Wolfer, in the abbreviated four-lap finale. Suzukimounted Oregonian Christopher Andersso finished third, ahead of Anthony Dalton, Nick Wachter, Paul Elf and Kevin Larson. Nielson finished ninth. Honda-mounted Joey Mancuso has been impressive throughout the series. On two occasions, Mancuso has won two or more classes, although at the previous round at Albany, Oregon, Mancuso won only one class. On this day, Mancuso came back with a vengeance and won the I25cc and 250cc B classes, both with 1-1 sweeps for the rider from Hillsboro, Oregon. Washington's Kiel Krogstadt was Mancuso's main competitor, finishing second in both classes. eN (Lett! Storm trailed Johnson in moto one but carne back strong in moto two to net a victory as well as the overall win. Johnson, though, would not be left out of the winners' circle, as the local rider posted an overall win in the 250cc Pro class with a tally identical to Storm's in the I25cc Pro class, a 2-1. With many of the series' regular riders out due to injuries or returning from the Loretta Lynn's Nationals, Johnson seized the opportunity to score his first overall win of the series. Honda-mounted Oregonian Keith Kadell jumped out front of the field in the first 250cc/Open Pro moto, followed by Yamaha riders Johnson and Tyler Kavaney, Don Bisceglia and Jason Matthews. Kadell, a secondyear Pro from Carlton, Oregon, ran in the point position for the entire moto to snare a moto victory. Johnson finished a close second, followed by Bisceglia, Kavaney and Nick Dunn. In moto two, the Suzuki-mounted Bisceglia and Johnson went head to head from start to finish. In what was possibly the day's closest finish, Johnson barely edged Bisceglia at the finish line to nab a moto victory and, more importantly, the overall win. Bisceglia, Kadell, Suzuki rider Ryan Metzler and Kavaney filled out the top five at moto's end. Overall, Johnson (2- 1) led Kadell (1-3), Bisceglia (3-2), Kavaney (4-5) and Metzler (7-4), who was making his return from an injury. Storm and Johnson spent much of the first 125cc Pro-class moto in close quarters, with Storm maintaining the lead until late in the moto.
