class. I like coming to this Fair race, because
Supercross is definitely my thing and my plan
is to run the 2002 AMA Supercross season.·
Without a doubt. Morais proved that
Supercross is his specialty as he dominated
both 125cc combined Pro/Intermediate
motos. Moto one was a qualifier to earn gate
position, while moto two was the evening's
main event. With only one other Pro, Yamaha
of Modesto's Matt McCrummen, Intermediates
Eric McCrummen and Robert Harold took to
I
the same gate. but Morais got the jump in
both motos and simply checked out and
negotiated the tight st2ldiumcross track with
ease. In the Intermediate class, Harold won his
qualifier with a huge cushion and was looking
to do the same in the main, but a fall left the
Yamaha rider clutching his ankle while
McCrummen went on to take the win.
In 125cc Novice action, Brett Markarian
and Jimbo Hoak put on a great show. battling
the entire final moto, At the turn before the
checkers, the two exited side by side and
nearly took each other out. Markarian took the
win with Hoak a mere bike length behind.
Honda pilot Jesse Holt topped an 18-rider
gate full of 80cc Beginners. Holt led from start
to finish while Jake Baraldi put in a strong
effort for runner~up.
