Nighman took his lead back and never cracked, forcing Kiniry to settle for second. Local rider Jack Carpenter hung on for third. Chad Dunning nailed the 80cc start, but two turns later Kiniry took the lead and was never challenged. Ryan Blizzard motored along in third until two laps into the race, when he put a move on Dunning and never looked back. Kiniry, one of the country's fastest Mini riders, stretched his lead to almost a full straightaway's length.
