It's like a did two seat-grab double Indian airs in his final run. Jones has some new tricks, but he is waiting until the Vans Triple Crown to bust them out. John "Big Dis" Distler picked up a fifth-place finish on Friday after knocking his younger brother/LBZ teammate Robert "Quiet" Distler out of the Hot Seat. The pair finished together in sixth and seventh on Saturday night, as well. It was an emotional weekend for the Distler family as the two riders shared the spotlight a few times. Distler is still recovering from a crash four months ago that almost killed him. Luckily, he is all back to normal with the exception of his voice, so he had to haryd floor announcer Robbie Floyd handwritten notes of what he wanted to say to his fans. Jesse Olson picked up his best finish ever on Saturday night by breaking inside the top five. Olson hasn't done many IFMA contests, but his results improve with each outing. Troy Lee Designs/Vortex Pistons' Ronnie "Reno" Renner had a good run going on Friday until he stopped short on a seat grab and didn't get the trick in. He still managed sixth on the night but fell back to eighth on Saturday night after racking himself in the main. He gave Floyd a very highpitched interview following his run. Another rider who made a surprise appearance was No Fear/Metzger Motorsports' Drake McElroy. McElroy was already back to competition after a severely broken leg and back. McElroy was not back to 100 percent, and advanced to the ma"in event on Friday via the LCQ. He suffered a scary crash on his second jump in Saturday night's qualifying after coming up a little short. He returned for the LCQ, but was unable to make the cut into the eighth-rider main event, though he still picked up an extra $50 by claiming the Practice Track Puckered Starfish Award, On Friday, the award went to Matt Buyten, who was competing in his first-ever IFMA event and turned a lot of heads with some big tricks, including a rodeo air to nothing. eN e... .. .on\v Sma"er ~ ~s~~~~~~~ii~~$~~ Husqvarna has taken the best value InIntroducing mini motocross race ready bikes and made It even better by Mini Madness!
