Things had then drastically
changed. Brown and Langston were
front-runners, and the points leader
for the last two months lay on the
ground, once again.
Now riding in second, Ward's bike
was slightly smoking as oil was leaking from an unknown spot and was
going all over him and the bike. "I
didn't think that I was going to finish
that moto," Ward explained after the
race, "I weigh 180 pounds, and I push
it pretty hard and things happen,
things will break."
Brown took another moto win
ahead of Ward and Langston. Sellards scored fourth, and Thain finished
fifth, which was good enough for third
overall. Fonseca, Ramsey, Vohland,
Boniface and Sheak rounded out the
top 10 for the moto.
"I got by them as quick as I could
because I didn't want Langston and
Pastrana to be up there with me,"
Brown said after the moto. "I hope
he's all right; I'd like to beat him
while he's on two wheels."
