A~125/250 US MX Championships ~ ~!aAir Kansas Pro-Sport rider Justin Whitney took the lead of the 600cc Pro-Sport main from Johnny Isaacs and Glenn McNamara Jr. Whitney was soon joined by Joe Snyder and Raun Wood. Wood took over at the halfway point and pulled away. Whitney and Snyder exchanged second several times with Whitney on top at the checkers. Scott Scherb got the holeshot in the Harley-Davidson Sportster Performance main. Scherb kept his Widman Harley-Davidson/Nallin Racing Sportster up front all the way for a solid win. Frieze Harley-Davidson/ Airhawk-backed Victor McAnally worked his way into second while 3C Cycle/Harley-Davidson of North Texas' Wiley Duvall took third. Total Performance Racer's Steve Nichols easily captured the 505cc Pro-Sport main. Nichols pulled away from a Wood, Bret Sowders and Joe Snyder battle. At the halfway point, Snyder's Honda gave up, leaving Sowders attempting to run down Wood. Just as Sowders caught Wood, his Adams Racing mount came unglued. Total Performance Racer's Johnny Isaacs inherited third. CN Willllogors Dawns ca.nm.ore, Dklah.... -@ft. lime: 8 min., 03.298 sec. AMA/600 EXPERT HOT SHOE NATIONAL SERIES (after 8 or 8 rounds): 1.
