Jeremy Ross (Yam). out of the pack on the second lap was Eric Wisnoski, who finished sixth in the first moto. Wisnoski moved into fourth, behind Ogrodowicz, on the second lap. Wisnoski then worked the Highlands Kawasaki rider briefly before passing him and setting out after Daffern. Hidalgo had opened up a large gap over the field by this point and didn't seem to be having any trouble maintaining his lead. Wisnoski was in position for a good finish until he crashed in the corner before the whoops on the last lap. Wisnoski finished 11 th, while Bederka moved into third. At the finish, it was Hidalgo, ahead of Daffern and Bederka. Ogrodowicz and Jacobs rounded out the top five. • Ogrodowicz took the holeshot in the final 20-minute moto. Hidalgo quickly moved into the lead, with Ogrodowicz, Jacobs and Daffern trailing. Bederka got a bad start but worked his way into fourth by the end of the second lap. Ogrodowicz pulled out early. With Hidalgo out front and Bederka trailing the Honda rider, the field began to separate. Behind the two, Jacobs held off Daffern until the eighth lap, when HHRjScott-sponsored Daffern made his way by. Sean Cherry made a move on Jacobs late in the moto, dropping the Kawasaki rider back into fifth. Hidalgo finished out the weekend with a 1-1-1 tally, ahead of Bederka's 2-3-2. Cherry's ride in the second moto aboard his Richmond Suzuki gave him third overall with an 8-6-4 score. CN 250 EX SUN: 1. Justin Smith (Kow): 2. Coleb Weller (Yem); 3. Michael Keating (Suz); 4. Log Road MX: Colin Wright (90) leads Jerod Whipple (394) and Christopher McMillin (2) in 125cc B competition In Bronson, Michigan. Log Road MX Kamm. Saw and Conquered Bv BART NEWMAN BRONSON. MI, MAY 26 A totol of 15 50cc Auto Junior riders made their way to Log Road MX for their last shot at qualifying for the next step of the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championship journey, and none proved faster than Kody Kamm. Moto one had Kamm out front and leading the pack on his Polini. The next in line were Jacob Behringer and Alex Ditton. The mud from four consecutive days of rain made for slippery racing, despite an outstanding effort by the Log Road track crew. Kamm was untouchable in the mud, and he soon had a lead that was, long and strong, keeping his rear wheel spinning throughout the moto. Behringer was also able to negotiate the mud at speed, opening up a good lead on Ditton, who now was being hounded by Wood McVety and Jadynne Abrecht. With the two front· runners out of reach, Ditton picked up the pace and pulled a lead on McVety and Abrecht with one lap to go. Kamm rode the last lap perfectly and took the win by nearly 15 seconds over Behringer. who held the same lead over Ditton. McVety was fourth, ahead of Abrecht at the finish line. In mota two, Kamm was out front once again not paying any mind to the muddy track. Behringer again found himself in second, riding well but not close to the pace that MiII.lla8d Houston, T.u. With a couple of laps left, Abrecht had motored her way up from a tough start to battle with Martinez, who was now looking at the back of Lowe's Polini. Kamm took the sec- ond-mota win and the overall, crossing the line first, much to delight of his crew. Behringer wound up a lonely second but was happy to take the next step closer to Loretta's pad. Third went to Ditton, who is going good on the Cobra these days. Josh Hough fought his way from the back of the pack to lock up fourth. Fifth place went to Lowe, making him the last rider in the top five overall as well. Results P/W (4.6) SHAFT: 1. Dean Taylor (Yam); 2. Brock Carper (Yam): 3. 8ly«: Martinez (Yam); 4.
