Wallace trad ed wins with Barry Carsten in t he 125cc A class, with Wallace scori ng 2 - 1 to Ca rst e n's 1-2 for the overa ll. In the O ver 25 A c lass , Wa llac e 's 3- 1 rides got him a no the r ove ra ll. In th e 250c c A cl ass, Ca rsten 's 4 -2 rides we re g o od e no ugh fo r t he overall. Wall a ce earned seco nd overall wit h his 3- 3 tall y. Wall a ce now leads t he 12 5cc A class in series points and is second in t he Over 2 5 A class after three of seven roun ds. Carsten leads both the 2 50cc A and Over 30 A classes , while Husqvarna 's Damien Plotts leads the Over 25 A cla ss. Paul Veracka , who was leading the 125cc A, 250 c c A and Collegeboy c la s s e s coming into round three, m iss ed th is round but still holds th ird place in the 125cc A class and second in the 250cc A and Co llegeboy classes . Carsten got first gate pick, lining up to the in s ide o f th e d oghous e , hop ing for a ho lesh ot in th e fi rs t 125cc A moto . Ca rst en led the pa ck through th e first turn. In tow were Willie Boza ck , Jeff Paul , Scott Rock well and Wa llac e . Carsten was already five seco nds ahead of Boza ck by lap two . Walla ce moved to th ird . Mike Leavitt wo rk ed his wa y up to fourth , and Pa u l dr opped to fift h . Carsten increa sed his lead to seven seconds by lap th ree . Walla ce passed Boz ack for second. Plotts moved to fourth , and Lea vitt was fifth. Halfway into la p three , Plotts passed Bozack for third , and Ryan Mills passed Leav itt and then qu ickly relegated Bozac k to fifth . Carsten 's lea d was e ight seconds b y the s ta rt of la p si x. Th e lea d e rs were pretty spread out. David Ginolfi passed Boz a ck for fifth . Plotts went down on the last lap , losi ng o ne position . Ca rs ten got the win, with Wal lace, Mills, Plotts a nd Ginolfi tra iling. In mot o two , Wa llac e p u t h is bo oming YZF a t the front of th e pac k, fo llo we d by Carsten , Plo tts , J imm y Miller a nd Ginolfi. Ha lfway into lap three , Ginolfi passed Miller for fourth . Just befor e th e start of lap five , Miller we nt d own a nd too k Paul with him . J o sh Ste rr itt in he rit e d fift h . Ca rsten (1 -3) wa s second , and Plotts (4- 2) was th ird. Walla c e wa s on a ro ll w he n it cam e to holeshots , and he man aged a n o t h e r o n e in th e fi rs t 250 cc A mo to , wh ile a huge pileup in the first turn put ha lf th e gate on the ground. Tra iling Wa lla ce were Dag Boyesen, Ca rsten, Bru ce S t ratto n a nd Plotts . Bo yesen made the pass for th e le a d on la p two . W a ll ac e was relegated to sec ond . P lo tts p a s s ed both C a rs t e n a n d Stratton for thi rd . Carsten and Stratton were relegat ed t o fourth and fifth . The top five spread out , with three seconds separating the to p five throug h the start of la p five . Boyesen was still in t he poi nt p o s it io n with a three -second adva ntage when Plotts passed Walla c e for second . C arsten caught Wallace on lap six and made an att empt to pass o n t h e bac k straight along th e tree line , bu t Wa llac e' s th umper eas ily outpo we red Ca rs ten 's two -stroke . Bo ye sen held o n for the m o to win desp ite lapped traffic , which allowed Plotts to cl ose th e gap on th e last la p. Rounding out the top five we re Wa lla c e , Carsten a nd Stratto n. The second m oto was red -flaqqed after half a lap, as rider s jumped th e g a te . Carsten mad e th e best of the res ta rt a nd pu t his RM into the early le ad , with Boyesen , Pau l Carpente r, Wa llace a nd Sterritt trail ing . With a la p and a ha lf com p le ted , Bo ye sen to ok th e lead o n the ba ck s t ra ight. Stra tto n passed Ste rritt for fifth at the e nd of la p two.
