We ll ove r 200 riders from th ree western states and Canada were on hand for the s e rie s ' finale , but few could navigate the loamy course with the speed of Hart , who won the 250cc and Over 30 Expert Vintage classes, or Clark, who , after finish ing second to Hart in the Over 30 class, won th e Open Expert-class overall. Cla rk vanished from the competitio n in h is dual O pe n Exp e rt- cl a s s victo ries, pu tt ing as m uch as 12 seconds between himself and Kawasaki mounted Co lby Ca m pb ell , who was the top -placing Inte rmedi ate rider. Campbell aced the Intermediate class to le a d Greg Mattoon (3- 2) , John Mattoon (2-3), Bra dford (4 -4 ) and Dean Newton (6 -5 ) into the top five overall.
