The EMTs also enjoyed the even t, as they d idn't leave the g rou nd s the whole weekend. Yamaha Factory Racing /Yamaha Cycl e Center/Cross Roads Rac ing / Ballzee/Scott USA's Kevin Walker got the holeshot in the first 125cc Pro rnoto , but Chevy Trucks/ Kawasaki/ Troy Le e Des igns/Pro Ci rcu it/Spl it F ire 's M ik e B rown quickly passed h im on the downh ill stairst eps . K ingsport Kawasaki Suzuki/Mad Raeing/Moto Mama /Pro Action Suspen sion/Smith 's Jon Boruff was running th ird, w ith Suzuki /Dal -Kawa Cy cle / Michel in's Paul Justus fou rth . Brad shaw started eighth out of the 22 rider fie ld , but he was on the gas. Boruff broke and gave Bradshaw a free ride into th ird. O n the last lap, Bradshaw passed Wa lker for second going up the hill to the first turn. Bro w n had c hecked out and eas ily took the w in . In the second moto, Walker again absconded with the holeshot, and this time he wasn 't abou t to let Brown steal it away on the downhill. Walker held th e lead for two laps, with Bro w n rubbing on his rear fender all the way . Bradshaw started midpack again but fell in the turn befo re the finish lin e. New sections of trail cut through 10- fo ot- hi g h man zanit a and loamy hillclimbs wea ving th ro u g h oak trees were v er y entertaining . The " fast " loop also had it s share of tight te rrain (wh ich is hard to avoid in th is area ), but much qu icker lap times. A couple of the long, ro c k y hillclimbs provided those w ith " loud h an dl e disease" an opportun ity to rem edy their ailment. The MRA is a 500 -plus famil ym em ber club dedicated to preserving the rights of O HV enthusiasts since 19 6 5 . Wa l k er fell i n th e turn beside the a n n o u n c e r' s tower and gave Brown an easy win. Boruff got by i nt o second before Wa lker got going again . Wa lker recovered and p a s se d Boru f f for seco n d . In the fi rst 250cc Pro moto, Walker was first to the turn , but again Brown w ent to the f ront on the downhill stairsteps . Bradshaw charged to secon d , and Robby Horton took over th ird. O n the next lap, Walker jumped over Horton to reta ke third . Up front. Bradshaw was pac ing Brown and checking out li ne s. On the fifth la p, B radshaw took t h e inside on the swee per at the end of the rough bottom straight and took the lead. Brown came back two times, but Bradshaw took the moto win . Bradshaw g ot t h e se cond-rnoto holeshot, w ith Ho rton , Walke r and Brown in tow . Brown picked off Walk er . Then Horton went down in the woods and Brown was up to second. Bradshaw maintained a 3 1/2-second adva ntage t o th e checke red flag . Wal ker held on fo r third. Brad shaw took the overa ll win in the Over 2 5 A class, w ith Brown fin ishing second. Bradshaw won the fi rst mo to after the two excha nged t he lead severa l times. Brown was lead ing th e second moto w he n a l apper cut a c ross and took out his fro nt w heel, dr o p p ing him t o the grou nd. Bra dsha w c ruised b y and took th e second- moto win . BSY Yamaha /St. Clair Motorsports' Jacob Say lo r dom inated the 125 cc B and Four-Stroke divisions, sweeping every moto of both classes. The Over 40 cla ss featured a dog fight between Kawasaki j o ck ey Jere Pope , B ak er C y cles -backed Suzuk i jocke y N ick y Baker, and Mark IV C ycles ' Su zu k i -mounted Tam Topham. Bak er got t h e fi r st- m o to holeshot, but T opham went by on the downhill sta irsteps. Pope went to second and was charging , but he overshot the off-camber turn in the woods and took an exc ursion down through the fie ld . Baker was back into seco n d , wi t h Yamaha Cyc l e Cent er / Miche lin's Steve Lewis giving chase, and th at was the finish order. In the second moto, Pope got the holeshot, with Lew is in second . Bak er m ov ed into second , and Suzuki/Atlas Ho nd a Yamaha /FMF/ Dunlo p /Jones
