race bike. But Timmy Ferry apparently
didn't read the cl ippings . as the Floridi an continued the strong, steady riding
he dis play ed at the e nd of the EA
Sports Supercross Series , collecting a
consistent pair of runner-up moto fin ishes for th e second National win of his
ca reer - th e fir st in the 250cc class .
The victor y was made especially sweet
for Ferry's Yamaha team since it came
on its booming YZ426F four -stroke.

"I 've never fi nished on the podium
in the 2 50cc c lass," sa id Ferry , fol lowing his unexpected win . "I've had
a secon d-p lace m ot o finish, and a
third -place moto finish, but th is is the
highlight. It was defin itely a big confi denc e booster for m e, go ing into the
rest of the season ."
