His rivals were unlucky , and after sec tion nine o r so , encountered the first shower. At th is point, lampkin showed his strength , performing at his best on the wet stones . The sixpoint total he p icked up o n the l ap meant t ha t th e leader pos itio n was aga in his. Behind Lampkin , Freixa's nin e was good fo r s eco n d , and then c am e Fuj in a m i a n d St e v e Co ll ey , t i ed at a m u c h -hi g h e r 1 7 . O f co urse it was for every bod y , and Lampkin reta ined hi s c on centra ti on , scoring 11 and winn ing easily . J arvis had a good pe rformance at 13 , but not enough to cl imb to th e podi urn , as he could do no better than fo u rt h . F re ixa worsened h is perfor mance, bu t ke pt the runner-up position . In th ird was Fuj inami, qu ite d isap pointed with so me o f th e observers.
