After finding that REM had be en rai ned out, he decided to chec k out the TT race. "T his was a blast. way too much fun ," exclaimed TM ·mounted T ill ey . "I 'v e never had this much fun. It's different. Get a good start and go like heck. " O ne of the most competitive groups on the track was the Open Novice cl ass. Bradly Huth took his J ohn B urr Cycles motocross bike to a ] -2 win . The final race pitted th e top two winn ers fr om each class fo r th e sweepstakes prize. The racers started in a staggered formation around th e track, giving the less-ex perienc ed ride rs a head start. Speaking with Dubach afte r the race, Ramsey said. "lt [the trac k] is fun . a lot of weird rough stuff . I enjoyed the track. This was a good co nfidence -builder . " BB R's Dw ayne Brown explained w hy his co mpany deci ded to host the BBR M ini Challenge; "There 's guys riding these minibikes in thei r backyards all over the co untry . We wan ted to have one big meeting place w here everybody co uld race these things. Every guy thinks they're the fastest in their backyards. so we wanted to come out here and leI everybody prove it. " Skip Van Le euwen . "The Flying Dutchman. " at tended Saturday 's TT event to show his support for the sport. Van Leeuwen special ized in TT racing from 1960 to 1973 and admitte d that he preferred TT racing to the half mile. He smiled and said. "There's a lot of old TT riders. not a whole lot of half-milers "
