Aaron went outside the trials industry to secure a sponsorship with sport-drink giant Red Bull for the 2001 season. The slogan "Red Bull gives you wings- was very appropriate. as Aaron logged in quite a bit of air-time on Aguanga's radical sections . Another new item Aaron was sporting was a removable cast on his left wrist. Geoff severely s prained a tendon in the wrist two weeks before. while doing a photo shoot for the media. C urrent Belgian Champion Freddie Crosset arrived in California with his own entourage . which included a minder. a mechanic and two assistants. Plans are for the five-time Belgian champ to compete in both the U.S. Series and the Belgian Series. If that weren't enough. Crosset will also be trying for the Belgian Enduro Championship title. The 26 year old is living full-time in the states and working for Ryan Young Products when not on the road with the team. Off-road legend Larry Roeseler. who recently purchased a 2.9 Sherco from a Southern California deale r. was on hand to s pe ctate at the first two National events and act ual- ly competed in EI Trial de Espana. L.R. did quite well in the Intermediate division and, of course, smoked everyone on the loop. The EI Trial de Es pa na . which is hosted annually by the American Trials A s s o c iati o n. i s c ons ide red . along with Colorado's Ute Cup. the pr em ier no n-Natio nal event in the United States and is run under a special for mat . The event is split into a mo rni ng and an af ternoo n segment. All entries ride a four-mile loop with 10 sections during the morning sess ion. During the after- noo n sessio n. only the Championship-level riders continue on spe- cial. world-cl ass sections set up around the pits for all to watch.
