Comments: Mike Webb - "While testing over the course of last season, we went as high as 450cc on the cylinder,
but the piston started getting too close to the coolant and the bike would run hot and spin sleeves. Plus, with that
big piston, it didn't have good controllability or revability. We want smooth, controlled power that can rev. By
coming down to 417, we increased bottom and midrange, yet maintained total reliability (RPM does a great job
with re-Nikasilling the sleeve). And then the Yosh cam and black give us revability we wanted (an extra 1500
rpm). Chassis-wise, the biggest improvement is the works suspension, but even a non-works inverted front end
would be a great mod for pro-level guys since it eliminates the flex factor. It's important to have the right-offset
triple clamp, though, to allow you to turn."
