Doege in the final, 7.23 to 7.25. In the Gainesville final, past Pro Stock competitor Steve Miles took the win over a redlighting Joe Koenig on the Trim-Tex bike. In the Kawasaki Superbike class, Mark Moisan of American Turbo Systems took a convincing win, qualifying on the pole with a 8.17/169 and taking his first-ever win with the low e.t. of the meet, 8.13. Moisan got by the normally-aspirated Hayabusa of Del Flores in the semifinals while Phill Davis used a sharp 8.16 to put Rickey Gadson on the trailer. Moisan got the holeshot against Davis in the final and stormed to the 8.13 as Davis had trouble and coasted to a 9.97. Ryan Schnitz is unquestionably the man to beat in the Schnitz Streetbike Shootout. Schnitz, riding the nitrousinjected Adams Performance GSX-R, led qualifying with a 7.89 and was convincing during eliminations, running a string of 7.80's en route to a final against Chris Williams on Danny Cable's jUiced GSl150. In the final, Schnitz got out of the gate first and took the win light with a 7.95/179 as Williams got crossed up and could only produce a 9.06/108. Schnitz looked to be the man to beat in the Zero Gravity 600cc SuperSport class as well, taking the pole with the second-ever nine-second 600cc pass, a 9.998 at 134 mph, but the Team Green rider rolled the starting line beams to a red light in the third round against teammate Keith Thompson.
