some time in the final, but second is
good and this title is great. I didn't
know last year during the Nationals if
I could do it [wjn the championship],
because that was my first time out
there with them. I knew that I could do
it this year [125cc Supercross] and
that just made it easier. There were
some guys like Ramsey and Wey who
made it tough, but I really wanted it."
Now, with two titles in his hands
and more freestyle awards and attention than one could even handle, Pastrana looks for more.
"I'm looking forward to the
East/West Shootout in a few weeks
and I'm looking forward to riding the
250s again. There're two titles still to
get: the 250 Supercross and the 250
outdoors. I'm prioritizing for the
125cc Shootout and the outdoors
right now, but I can't wait to ride the
250 class."
Yamaha of Troy's Nathan Ramsey
was the big winner at Pontiac, but his

final points standings and his season

the one just a year earlier. Ramsey,

In front of 61,728 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome, Pastrana accomplished yet another major feat - he
won the Eastern Regional 125cc

finished second in the final aboard his
Lee McCollum-tuned Suzuki RM125
and, along with his five other wins
throughout the series, second was
plenty enough to sew up his first-ever
Supercross title.
"I couldn't be more excited," Pastrana said after the final. "These guys
