'-BiENS; 'il-~~-!:!i!!~ was still out front but feeling the pressure fonn a hard-charging Cory, who in tum held a fivesecond lead over Cutcher, who was fighting off the advances of both Najewski and Shane. As the leaders emerged from the back section of the track. Cory again jumped his way past a competitor - seizing the lead away from McNulty. The race for third was a four· rider shindig, between Cutcher, Najewski, Shane Larsen and Brooks. Cory Larsen crossed the finjsh line first, with McNulty in second eight bike lengths back. Cutcher was third after holding off Najewski, Shane Larsen and Brooks, who finished in that order but were close enough to throw a blanket over all three of them at once. Mota two started off with a bang, as Kristopher Miller, Shane Larsen and Najewski came together at speed in the start straight. This instantly had them cartwheeling to the ground, forcing them all to wait for another day to taste victory, Cutcher missed the crash and was leading the pack. Cory Larsen. Brooks and Michael Kraft were near the front at the end of lap one, Kraft was the fist casualty, as a miscue in the whoops sent him to the back of the pack; that put Justin Bradbum and McNulty into the top five. On lap three, Cory went into the lead with a slick inside/outside move on Cutcher, who now had his hands full with the hard-charging McNulty. Bradburn was still in fourth, but Brooks was looking for an opening in every corner to make the move into fourth. In the end, Cory took the win and the overall. McNulty made a last-lap pass on Cutcher to take the runner-up spot. Bradburn held off Brooks with the help of Garrett Peyton, who was fighting hard to get into the top five.
