VISIT lap, Sampson and P.A. gained a minute's lead on the rest, and with each continuing lap they doubled it by two minutes, then four minutes, then six minutes on the last lap. They finished the race four minutes ahead of the third-place-overall rider, Dustin Gibson. Bike Pedlar/Smith/Cidi-backed Gibson grabbed the holeshot in the 250cc/Open A class. "My Pro Action of Kentucky suspension was awesome on the breaking bumps," Gibson declared. "During the race, I stalled my bike and Timmy P'Pool got around me, and we battled for the first three laps. When I finally got around him, I concentrated on the overall positions." Dustin claimed third place overall and first place in the 250cc/Open A class. He was two minutes ahead of AA rider Chad Froman, who claimed fourth place overall and third place in the AA class. The next rider through the score tent was p'Pool. He claimed fifth place overall and second place in the 250cc/Open A. "I had a bad start and had to work my way through the pack," P'Pool reported. "Dustin [Gibson] killed his motor at the ninth-mile marker, and I got by him. Basically, we went back and forth until the end of the fourth lap. I couldn't hold on to the pace we were running." One other rider who suffered a bad start was Adrian Gervais, who was riding his RM in the 200cc B class. "I was dead last because my bike stalled, and I dropped back to 12th place on the first lap," Gervais said. "I started picking up my pace, but I crashed hard one time. Once I recovered, I never let up." Gervais claimed first place in the 200cc B class and was a minute ahead of second-place contender Heath Robinson. There were 19 people in their class. Another winner from a large class was Brook Barker. He topped the Vet C class, which had 24 riders. "I got a bad start and was about midpack, holding it wide open, crashing off of trees and trying to make up for lost time," said Barker, whose enthusiasm paid off, because he won with a minute's lead on secondplaced rider Greg Brannon. "I battled with Greg for two to three laps and finally got first. After that, I simply tried to hold him off." eN WWW.KTMUSA.COM THROUGHOUT THIS PROMOTION FOR ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES AND OFFERS, KTMS Right now, KTM dealers have new KTMs and a Powersports Card program to make buying a KTM easier than ever.
