The 5ixth race of the Grand Canyon State Classic Series was about to get under way. Despite rain earlier in the week. the track was in prime shape, with excellent traction for all riders and age groups. The track was being prepped for the following week for another stop for the Four·Stroke Nationals. One of the most popular of all motocross classes is the 60cc division. This is where most racers begin their journey to weekendwarrior fame. This day was just another battle in the war to be the king of the 60cc class. The battle was fierce, with tight turns and long jumps, and when it was over, Bryan Christenson had overcome all obstades and soldiered on to become the final 60cc Beginner victor. Another local talent in the dass is Dilion Huddleston, who nipped Jackson Paquett for the second-place podium finish. Other battles were also occurring on the track in the 60cc ranks. KTM rider Trey Adamson, who is sponsored by Rhino Enterprises, rose to the occasion, leading the pack around the final berm to win the 60cc Junior division, with J.C. Redondo taking second place and Andrew Hughes rounding out the top three spots. In the final race in the 60cc division, Jeffrey Jenkins took top 60cc Open honors. Doug Wang finished second, followed by local favorite Buddi Bruner, who is now focusing on the aocc division. Results B/BK OPEN: I. Eric: Havins (Yam): 2. Man Harper (Yam): 3. Paull'elltCy (Sw): ...
