Summey ran fourth for most of the race until Swaney got past him with a lap and a half to go. Neese appeared to be in control of Saturday's 250cc A main from the start, cruising along in front while most of the action took place behind him. Swaney got off to a bad start and then compounded his misfortune by spinning out at the end of lap one, dropping temporarily to last. Walker and Bennick banged bars for the first three laps in pursuit of Neese, with Summey watching over their shoulders for an opening. Stiles appeared to have command of Saturday's 125cc A main event, but with three laps left, a lapper took him out. After his sudden exit, Monk took over the lead, with Bennick and William Wilson of Hickory, North Carolina, close behind. Stiles scrambled to recover in midpack and rode like stunt man Bud Ekins in "The Great Escape" (go rent it sometime). By the time the checkered flag was unfurled, Monk had won, followed by Bennick, Stiles, Wilson and Stancil. In Saturday's 250cc A class, Bennick grabbed the holeshot, but Stiles was deadly in the whoops. Not a rider in the whole place could match his pace in that section. He quickly dropped Bennick to second, and for most of the race Wilson ran a strong third aboard his new Yamaha. Scott Graves didn't get a good start, but by charging hard he made his way to third at the checkered flag. Graves has had an up-and-down racing career filled with injury and recovery, and he showed he hasn't lost his touch in his comeback season. Wilson finished fourth, with hare scrambles Pro rider Joshua McLeavy of Connecticut finishing fifth. CN CelSD11ic An!mI SheIIryvlIle.
